Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson popularly called Katy Perry is an amazingly popular singer and song writer from America. She used to sing in the Churches during her childhood days and when she became a teenager, gospel music became her passion. Katy was born on 25 October 1984.
Katy entered into an arrangement with Red Hill Records when started as a professional singer. Her first album titled 'Katy Hudson' was launched in 2016 and it was not commercially successful effort. She moved to Los Angeles to focus on secular music and her contract with the Red Bill Records came to an abrupt end. Katy started working with producers like Max Martin and Gen Ballard in Los Angeles. In 2007, she managed to sign a recording agreement with Capitol Records.
Katy Perry came up with the album titled 'One Of The Boys' and the singles included in this album called 'I Kissed A Girl' and 'Hot n Cold' made her a popular singer. In 2010, she came out with her third album known as 'Teenage Dream' and it was big hit in the US. Katy became the first woman singer to create five number one songs in the US and this feat was achieved only by the one and only Michael Jackson. Most of the singles available in this album such as 'California Gurls', 'Firework' and 'Teenage Dream' ruled the Billboard charts for several weeks. In 2012, she re-released this album under the title 'Teenage Dream; The Complete Confection'.

She has won several awards and honors including Brit Award, Juno Award and Guinness World Records as well. She is considered as one of the best selling musicians of all time and the Forbes Magazine selected her as one of the richest women in music.
