David Guetta – Titanium lyrics
[Sia]
You shout it out
But I can't hear a word you say

I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shoot me down, but I get up

[Chorus]
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall

I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium

[Sia]
Cut me down
But it's you who has further to fall

Ghost town, haunted love
Raise your voice
, sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm talking loud not saying much

[Chorus]
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away

Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium
I am titanium

[Sia]
Stone-hard, machine guns
Firing at the ones who run
Stone-hard, those bulletproof glass

[Chorus]
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
You shoot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium

I think the meaning of this song is that we don't have to be afraid and that we can be strong. Also wen we stand up for what we believe in we are "titanium. " and once we stand up no hurt full or negative words can bring us down. (aka: "the bullets"). We are so strong for what we believe in that since we are like titanium that the "bullets" ricochet.
    P. S> I can totally see this song in those intense and emotional commercials about the olympics where someone wins or something. :)

I think this. Song truly means being able to be a leader and the walk being able to knot clear what people think of you. You walk with you head held. High. I am the same age as some of you I am guessing and even at my young age I know what it takes to be a leader. It takes haret. It takes courage. You have to be able to walk and get up every morning with a smile and say to yourself I can. From my experience it'd the kids that we told you will never or you can't that make a difference but who know maybe the next person will be you so go ahead put up your titanium wall and walk and talk like on have nothing to loose.

For me I can really connect to the boy I had. I hard time facing the challenges that came to me and I always ran away. From them thinking they would ho away but they never did they always found me and made my life even harder I remember me being the reamer the one that wished she could be bullet proof so I wouldn't have to here the whisper behind my back and I don't think I ever will be bullet proof but at least I can be a leader.

I have a partner who can be verbally abusive. I don't mean a little bit. Over 20 yrs she morphed into her mother. I used to fight back and get upset. Now I respond with love no matter what she says. I am titanium. I have learned to recognise the abuse and to disengage from how I feel about it. Either she will eventually change or the karma of her rage will destroy her. This song means so much to me.

I think the meaning is that no matter what someone says to you, you don't care and the words just bounce right off of you. This like the song about true colors is great to teach the world about anti-bullying. I hope after reading this comment, you do unto others as you would have them do unto you and never again be a by-stander. Stay strong, live life, love others and show your amazing true colors. If you have been bullklied, but keep it all inside then please, stop. Tell an adult or someone you trust incase you can't let words just bounce off of you. This song is an amazing song. Thanks and bye!

In my opinion, I think this song says how ever much people try to harm you, or try to make you different, or if they dislike you for being different, on the outside you are just one piece of armor, but inside nothing should ever change you and you shouldn't try to change your self. As tough as things are, inside you can always be yourself, and by doing this, you will never truly be defeated. ~ mushroma.

It' about your inner strength to carry on regardless of how much you are dragged down you just get up again. The video to the song is about the young boy with special powers who distroys his school by accident and gets chased by a swat team. But it has nothing to do with the original lyrics. As the video was made sometime after the song was wrote. Whatever it's interpretation. It is an amazing song.

I really feel connected to the video. Had a hard time growing up, spent a lot of time daydreaming.
The video carries the emotions I would typically walk around with. I felt alone, everyone out to get me, strong, but never able to give back. Not because I could not, I was a strong kid, but because I had a mental block against such (protected upbringing). In my daydreams, however, I would give them all what they deserved, although I always knew it would never become reality. Super powers, fist fights, all the things boys day dream about.
So. An unassuming good-hearted kid having a daydream about superpowers, and how he would escape it all. Perhaps david wilson, who directed the video, connected the same way as I did. And, hence, interpreted the lyrics of the song, into the video.
One thing for sure. Never want to be 14 again.

I love this song very much. I never really understood it when I was young. Now I do.
I think it's about someone in a war, who tried to protect his/her loved ones. He/she failed and now blames the starters for the deaths he/she had to witness. Only, the killer is still targeting him/her. But that won't stop the singer. That's why he/she sings "I'm bulletproof." Because the war he/she has seen so much pain, he/she can handle whatever you throw at him/her. "Nothing to lose," I think, means the person lost everyone and is now afraid of nothing.
Reminds me of one of my favorite book quotes: "They can't hurt me. I'm not like the rest of you. There's no one left that I love."

It's about being strong and not let their words get you down. Hold your head high. Act as if there is nothing to lose. Let them talk mean things about you. I could definitely relate coz when I was in my elementary years I was a crybaby. They keep mocking me 'til I cry, giving them a reason to mock me even more, then in my last days I had to wear glasses due to being nearsighted. They called me Grandma (even my little 2nd cousin, who is not even that smart). But I held on to this song and I graduated valedictorian, Now I'm Grade 7 and I can't even cry anymore (in front of my classmates, of course). But I just wanna share this with you guys so you will know the thing about this song.

David and Sia were thinking about me when they wrote this song. I see it as a message to people to learn to stand firm against adversity, no matter how it is presented. In my case it has been a series of heartaches occasioned by different things and ill health which I am gradually overcoming. I am titanium, I am bullet proof and everything ricochets off me. Nothing can pull me down. I am a survivor.

The term bulletproof is two faced in the song. On one hand, its saying that each and every normal person shouldn't let the outside world affect them in a negative way, hence 'you're like titanium. ' on the other hand it is relating that specific idea of self confidence to the supernatural abilities of the boy. He is actually bulletproof given his abilities and it serves as a nice concrete example of the metaphorical meaning of the song.
But, being that its a song, you should take away from it whatever meaning you see fit.
