Lady Gaga is a renowned singer, actress and song writer from the United States of America. She was born as Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta on 28 March 1986 in Manhattan, New York. During the early stages of her career, she was criticized for provocative and unconventional creations. Lady Gaga never showed any reluctance in experimenting with new ideas and concepts in music.

During her school days, she acted in many plays and later studied at Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Gaga did not finish her studies and decided to pursue a career in music. After having experienced some bitter experiences with some recording companies, she started working as a song writer for Sony/ATV Music Publishing. Akon found her as a vocally talented woman and assisted her in entering an agreement with Interscope Records. 

Her first album 'Fame' (2008) made her a star and some of the singles in this album called 'Poker Face' and 'Just Dance' managed to find top rankings in international music charts. Her second album 'The Fame Monster' was released in 2009 and it also became highly successful. 

She launched an album titled 'Born This Way' in 2011 and it was a sensational hit by topping the charts all around the world. In the first week itself, more than one million copies were sold. In 2013, Lady Gaga released the album 'Artpop' and it also reached the number one spot on US Billboard charts. Other albums of Gaga include 'Cheek to Cheek' and 'Joanne' and they all managed to enter the top spots in charts all around the world. 

Lady Gaga acted in a Television series called 'American Horror Story: Hotel' and it won her the Golden Globe Award in 2016. More than 27 million albums of Gaga have been sold and she is regarded as one of the best selling music artists of all time. Gaga has won 6 Grammy Awards, 13 MTV Music Video Awards, many Guinness World Records, National Arts Awards and many more.
