2017 Much Music Video Awards: Watch All Performances [Camila Cabello, Lorde & More]
The 2017 Much Music Video Awards were held last night (June 18) outside the Much headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
The performers at this year’s edition included: Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Iggy Azalea, DNCE, Julia Michaels, Niall Horan, and Camila Cabello.
“Best Pop Video” was won by Shawn Mendes’ “Mercy”, while “Best New International Artist” was won by Camila Cabello – who beat the likes of Chance the Rapper and Niall Horan (lol). Really? I love Camila but she very well knows she didn’t deserve that award. Winning over Chance? No way! See all tbe winners of all the categories here.
My favorite performance of the night? Lorde’s “Green Light” and “Perfect Places” medley. Lorde served all of the epicness I was expecting from her. She delivered.
Most awkward performance of the night? Iggy Azalea’s “Switch”. And it wasn’t like the performance was bad, she actually did a good job and looked very sexy, it was just that it was awkward to see Iggy still trying to make “Switch” happen when we all already know it has flopped tremendously. She needs to go back to the studio ASAP, call Charli XCX, and get her to agree to record a “Fancy” 2.0. That will be it seems the only effective method that will save Iggy’s struggling post-debut album career.
