Taylor Swift – Our Song lyrics
I was riding shotgun with my hair undone
In the front seat of his car

He's got a one-hand feel on the steering wheel
The other on my heart

I look around, turn the radio down
He says, ?Baby is something wrong??
I say, ?Nothing I was just thinking
How we don't have a song? and he says

Our song is the slamming screen door
Sneakin' out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
'Cause it's late and your mama don't know

Our song is the
way you laugh
The first date man, I didn't kiss her and I should have
And when I got home, 'fore I said amen
Asking God if He could play it again

I was walking up
the front porch steps
After everything that day
Had gone all wrong or been trampled on
And lost and thrown away

Got to the hallway, well, on my way
To my lovin' bed
I almost didn't notice all the roses
And the note that said

Our song is the slamming screen door
Sneakin' out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
'Cause it's late and your mama don't know

Our song is the way you laugh
The first date man, I didn't kiss her and I should have
And when I got home, 'fore I said amen
Asking God if He could play it again

I've heard every album, listened to the radio
Waited for something to come along
That was as good as our song

'Cause our song is the slamming screen door
Sneakin' out late, tapping on his window
When we're on the phone and he talks real slow
'Cause it's late and his mama don't know

Our song is the way he laughs
The first date man, I didn't kiss him and I should have
And when I got home, 'fore I said amen
Asking God if He could play it again
Play it again, oh, yeah, oh, oh, yeah

I was riding shotgun with my hair undone
In the front seat of his car
I grabbed a pen and an old napkin
And I wrote down our song

I really love this song. To me, this is about a girl who is deeply in love with her boyfriend and they have fun together. Then she realizes that she wants a song for her and her boyfriend which is what they usually do and she wants to repeat it over and over again.
I totally love this song! This is so amazing! Taylor Swift really has good ideas that other girs can relate to: being in love or suffering after a big breakup.

This is a great song. I know that I am kind of late about writing something but that's becuase that I just found this sight. I remember the days that me and my cousin would be singin songs and this was one of them. And I am so happy that I was born in the same state as her. I wish that I was born in the city as she was too though.

She just sat down one day with her guitar and got in a groove, and went with it. She likes to write about how music affects people, and this was fun to write because it's about a couple who doesn't have a song. She likes the banjo and believes you really can't go wrong with banjo. She wanted it to be last on the album, because the last line of the chorus is 'play it again'.

Taylor is kool. I love all her songs including 'our song'. I almost sang it in class at an exam. "i was riding shotgun..." when I realize I was standing on my desk and my teach was ready to hit me or send me to de princeple. If I got there, that will be my 7th time this week! My dad got it serious when I got home with another letter from the school. I was grounded for a week. Well, at least I din't have to go to school. And I am grounded with my pc and internet. I surf the internet for a week and was not happy when the grounded was expired! I wish I can get grounded for two weeks if I make more noise! Grounded here I come!

Taylor swift is singing about the relationship her and her boyfriend have and how they share the pleasures of being together as it starts of, "man i didnt kiss her and i should have" and at the end it is, man I didn't kiss him as I should have. " and then she says,"before I said amen, asking god if he could play it again", meaning she wanted to relive that part of their relationship. The lyrics are beautiful. It highlights the beauty of spending time with the someone you love and share a connection to.
