Scarecrows have a two-fold purpose: to protect (the plants/feild/crops etc.) and to induce fear (into the crows/predators etc.)love is often a form of a security blanket or protection to people, just the same as war induces fear and is a predator to people. The scarecrow is a representation of how two factors are in conflict of each other and can reform the view of the world through the eyes of an innocent. The world in the song is one of destruction, gradually increasing in ruin yet relying on the stability and security that love provides. Love is often seen as the more unrealistic and dreamlike factor compared to war and it appears that in the chorus "everybody hide" is a reference to taking a realist approach to a situation or factor, automatically viewing the scarecrow as the predator, just the same as war is likely to be stronger focus than love.

I read somewhere that it's a reference to a nuclear scarecrow, the complete and total devastation caused by a nuclear weapon. There's several references to the damage caused by a bomb in the song. My friend maintains that a 'blackbird' is also a gun on some kind as well.
It's after "jetstar and the cobra kid', and I always took it that a third killjoy died in 'save yourself'; this song could also be about the loss of innocence, maybe realizing that life isn't all fun and games.

I think this song is about a rape victim. "hide your body when the sunlight dies, everybody hide your body from the scarecrow"
this means go home/be safe when the sun goes down, hide from the "scarecrows", or the rapist
"make a wish when you childhood dies, hear the knock knock knock when she cries"
you innocence has been taken, you could be heard screaming when you were attacked
I don't want to go further because I don't want to offend anyone, but that's my interpretation, you get the gist, fill in the rest.

Scarecrow is the name showed in their previous video "sing". "hide your body from the scarecrow" must mean to hide yourself from the corporation. "run, run, bunny run" bunny sounds like a person that he's telling to run away. It would make sense since their previous song in the album is "save yourself, i'll hold them back. " perhaps he's telling bunny that he loves her, and to find the others before the summertime. Since it says "summertime will never get the best of me," in the song "party poison". I'm starting to think party poison wasn't really killed in "sing". That's what I think!

Absolutely beautiful. I've been a fan since their first album, and I have no problem with how they've changed. I've been a motherfxing vampire, I've been a member of the mcrmy, I've been a killjoy. My chem taught me to be me, taught me that it wasn't okay to let myself fade like I was, it wasn't okay to want to die. They taught me that I'm perfect how I am and they saved my life. I'll love them forever. So stay strong and love life, motorbabies. It's worth it. -ry.

This I feel has to do with the whole destruction that has happened in the story of the killjoys. With all the destruction comes consequences. This just happens to be comparable to a war, a form of aftermath (comparable to acid rain, ruined atmosphere,)the left over environment after the world explodes and how one person will suffer under neath all that pain from the environment to keep the other safe.
