These lyrics describe a strong young relationship that, due to inexperience, breaks up but revives in old age when both are again free. Unfortunately, stumbling blocks of communication style still stand in the way of a substantively strong affection of shared values. Unending devotion, but differences grow in 40+ years apart...the song says what is likely true: a simple hug would likely implode apparent barriers. The touch of a hand/hug reveals a true heart ...and seals inconsequential breaks. I think this is true for us, but don't yet know how it will turn out. I now respect more another's space, ie., we have different "closeness" needs/dynamics. Love doesn't always seek fulfillment because the reasons aren't necessarily wrong, even if they aren't fully understood. There's an "unseen hand" of the Heart, too. Hope and pray our devotion matches the artist's sentiments, since we both need and appreciate one another more than anyone else could or would. We need a pause, but not to lose the second chance forever.

This song simply shows that most of the time, we don't see the value of the one who truly loves us simply because he/she is always there.
Then when we lose that person, we realize how we've lost so much love, that we know and we believe that if ever that person comes back we will lover him/her more to be sure not lose him/her again.
But then, it's just "if ever he/she will be in our arms again"

This song describes my exact feeking right now. I was not able to tell my secret love about how I care for him while we are still in college. Now, that we got a chance to meet again, in facebook, I'm surprised when he told me that he love me too during those days, but he was tto shy to even approach me. Oh, how I regret that we didn't have the guts before to show our feelings for each other. But now, we both have our own families, so its kinda sad, we know its too late. But at least I was able to tell him about it, though it hurts a lot, coz til now we found out that we still care for each other, but it wil be unfair with our family. Louie, remember I love you so much. What ever happens,.
